Treat your wild bird friends to The Songbird Company, LLC. seed blends.  Our blends have a greater variety of seeds, but leave out the less expensive grain-by-products, filler seeds and grains (ie. milo, wheat, flax) that accumulate on the ground.  Compare the ingredients of Songbird Company seed mixes to most commercial seed mixes and you’ll see why Songbird Company blends are the better choice for devoted wild bird supporters. 

Our blends were developed through field studies conducted in the Waterloo Recreation Area located near Chelsea/Grass Lake, Michigan. The field study evaluated every type of seed that is not considered an invasive species in the State of Michigan. These seeds were placed into two feeding stations (example pictured below) and evaluated for total consumption and bird preference. The two year study supported the development of three wild bird seed blends. These include:
